2-D Front Elevation
After the first round of preliminaries, one can see how much of a transformation this house will undergo. The addition of a new gorgeous bell tower with its standing seam metal roof is quite the statement, drawing much needed attention to the front of the home, and promises to be a show stopper! The new gambrel roof over the main part of the building adds order and interest to the home as a whole. The new window arrangement brings order to the front of the home, and elegant details such as the brackets below the eaves and deck overhang completes the new and improved street facade.
1980, welcome to 2015! This house in the beautiful beach town of Avalon could really use some updating. Sure, the siding was fairly new, the roof shingles replaced not too long ago, and the windows were in good shape as well, but the whole package just isn't there. From the odd shaped windows and mish mash of architectural elements on the exterior, there was nothing that really made sense from an aesthetic point, no order, and no real sense of style. It was a good attempt, but there's definitely room for improvement. Now that Fine Architecture is involved, watch this beach house go from average to amazing!
